Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our installation team, with a primary focus on commercial and large-scale solar PV projects. The successful candidate will play an important role in preparing commercial roofs for solar installations, installing mounting systems and ensuring all roofing works are completed safely, securely and to the highest standard. You will work alongside our solar PV installation teams across a range of commercial, industrial and agricultural sites throughout Northern Ireland. This role would suit an experienced roofer who is confident working on larger commercial roofing projects, enjoys being part of a professional team and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out roofing works for commercial, industrial and agricultural solar PV installations.
  • Inspect and prepare roofs ahead of solar panel installation.
  • Install solar PV roof mounting systems safely and accurately.
  • Work across various commercial roofing systems, including metal, cladded and flat roofs.
  • Ensure all roof penetrations are properly sealed and weatherproof.
  • Identify and report any roofing defects or potential issues.
  • Work closely with the electrical and solar installation teams on site.
  • Complete all work to a high standard and in line with company procedures.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and site requirements.
  • Keep work areas clean, safe and organised.
  • Represent Premier Electrical Group professionally when working on customer sites.

Essential

  • Previous roofing experience.
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial roofing projects.
  • Competent in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Comfortable working at height.

Desirable

  • Full Driving Licence
  • Experience working on commercial solar PV installations.
  • Working at Height certification.
  • Relevant CSR or equivalent site certification.
  • Experience with metal, cladded, flat, slate or tiled roofing systems.
