Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our installation team, with a primary focus on domestic solar PV installations throughout the Republic of Ireland. The successful candidate will play an important role in completing the electrical work associated with solar PV systems, including inverters, battery storage systems and associated equipment. You will work alongside our solar PV installation teams to ensure every system is installed safely, correctly and to the highest professional standard. This role would suit a qualified electrician with strong domestic experience who enjoys working as part of a professional team and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out electrical work associated with domestic solar PV installations.
Install and connect solar PV inverters, battery storage systems and associated electrical equipment.
Complete AC and DC electrical work safely and correctly.
Carry out testing, inspection and commissioning of completed installations.
Identify and report any electrical defects or potential issues.
Ensure all installations comply with relevant Irish electrical regulations and industry standards.
Complete all required installation and testing documentation accurately.
Work closely with roofers and solar PV installers on site.
Complete all work to a high standard and in line with company procedures.
Follow all health and safety requirements at all times.
Represent Premier Electrical Group professionally when working at customers’ homes.

Essential

Previous domestic electrical experience.
Experience in electrical testing, inspection and fault finding.
Competent in the safe use of electrical testing equipment, hand tools and power tools.
Strong understanding of electrical and health and safety requirements.
Reliable, professional and able to deliver work to agreed deadlines.
Willing to travel to domestic installation sites throughout the Republic of Ireland.

Desirable

Full Diving Licence
Experience working on solar PV installations.
Working at Height certification.
Experience installing EV chargers or other renewable-energy technologies.
