Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our installation team, with a primary focus on domestic solar PV projects. The successful candidate will play an important role in preparing residential roofs for solar installations, installing mounting systems and ensuring all roofing work is completed safely, securely and to the highest standard. You will work alongside our solar PV installation teams on domestic properties throughout Northern Ireland. This role would suit an experienced roofer who is confident working on residential properties, enjoys being part of a professional team and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out roofing work for domestic solar PV installations.
Inspect and prepare residential roofs ahead of solar panel installation.
Install solar PV roof mounting systems safely and accurately.
Work across various domestic roofing systems, including slate, tile and flat roofs.
Ensure all roof penetrations are correctly sealed and fully weatherproof.
Identify and report any roofing defects or potential issues before installation begins.
Work closely with solar PV installers and electricians on site.
Complete all work to a high standard and in line with company procedures.
Follow all health and safety requirements at all times.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Represent Premier Electrical Group professionally when working at customers’ homes.

Essential

Previous professional roofing experience.
Experience working on domestic or residential roofing projects.
Competent in the safe use of hand and power tools.
Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
Comfortable working at height and as part of an installation team.
Reliable, professional and able to deliver work to agreed deadlines.

Desirable

Full Driving Licence
Previous experience working on domestic solar PV installations.
Working at Height certification.
Relevant health and safety qualifications, such as CSR or equivalent.
Experience working with slate, tiled and flat roofing systems.
Experience installing solar PV mounting systems.
