Role Overview
We are looking for an organised and dependable Warehouse Storeperson to manage the day-to-day running of our solar equipment warehouse. The role involves managing stock, overseeing goods in and goods out, ordering materials and preparing complete kits for our solar installation teams. You will work closely with the operations and installation teams to ensure they have the correct materials and equipment for every job.Key Responsibilities
- Manage all goods entering and leaving the warehouse.
- Check deliveries against purchase orders.
- Report any missing, incorrect or damaged items.
- Organise and safely store solar panels, inverters, batteries, mounting equipment and electrical materials.
- Prepare complete material kits for upcoming solar installations.
- Monitor stock levels and order additional stock when required.
- Manage unused, returned or damaged materials.
- Track tools and equipment issued to employees.
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, secure and well organised.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Essential
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience managing stock and processing goods in and goods out.
- Ability to maintain accurate stock records.
- Comfortable using computers and stock-management systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically capable of safely handling and moving warehouse materials.
Desirable
- Previous experience ordering stock and working with suppliers.
- Experience within the solar, electrical, construction or renewable energy industry.
- Forklift licence or previous forklift experience.
